Good to know

  • Converting will not restore detail that the JPEG already lost.
  • EXIF location data is not copied into the new file.
  • If WebP export is unavailable, use the compressor and choose JPEG.

Questions

Is WebP always smaller than JPEG?

Often for photos, not always. A high WebP quality can be larger than an already aggressive JPEG. Cretivkit shows both sizes.

Can I convert a folder?

You can drop several images. They run one after another so the tab does not hold every decoded photo at once.
